Project Brief

To build a brand identity for Bethan Miskell’s pressed flower artwork. Miskell’s artwork and message is to emphasise and celebrate the importance of plants or weeds that may be overlooked or not seen typically ‘pretty’, but are increasingly considered to be ‘hero’ plants and essential for biodiversity.

Project Solution

I worked with my course mate to complete this project. The client expressed a preference for clean modern typography for the logo, which we prioritised for her logo, as well as a minimalistic design. Bethan's artwork shows a recurring use of the fern plant, therefore we incorporated it’s silhouette into the logo design, adding a personal touch without being too decorative. The flowers that appear on Bethan's promotional cards were taken from her real artwork to showcase her designs.
